Summer Sizzles with Smelly Sneakers

Worcester, MA-Assumption College's Plourde Recreation Center hosted its first Rotten Sneaker Contest Friday, July 13th at 2:30 p.m. Campers (ages 6-13) attending Assumption College's Summer Recreation Camp were asked to bring in their dirtiest, smelliest old sneakers. There, camp counselors wearing protective lab gear will judge the rancid sneakers. Areas that were judged were odor, sole, laces, grommets, toes, heels, tongues, and overall condition. Where else could you possibly be rewarded for having rotten sneakers?
