Worcester, MAAssumption College is pleased to present "Emerging Patterns
of Race and Ethnicity in 21st Century America," a lecture by Dr. Orlando
Patterson, on Monday, February 4, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hagan Campus Center
Hall.
Dr. Patterson is the John Cowles Professor of Sociology at Harvard University
and the author of many books, including "Rituals of Blood: Consequences
of Slavery in Two American Centuries." His lecture kicks off a three-day
teach-in on Racial and Ethnic diversity co-sponsored by the Sociology Department
and the Diversity Committee at Assumption College. The teach-in is part of Assumption
Colleges celebration of Black History Month.
