"Lessons from Abraham Lincoln" lecture at Assumption College
Worcester, MADr. David Lowenthal, a visiting professor of Political Science
at Assumption College and the Emanuel dAlzon chair will present a lecture
titled: "Lessons from Abraham Lincoln," on Thursday, November 15,
2001 at 7:00 p.m. in the Salon of La Maison.
The endowed Chair of the dAlzon Professorship was recently established
in honor of Father Emmanuel dAlzon, founder of the Assumptionist religious
order in mid-nineteenth century France. It is awarded to an outstanding scholar
and teacher whose work continues in the educational tradition of Father dAlzon,
and of the great thinker who inspired him, St. Augustine.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
