Topic of Assumption College Lecture to Be on the Blackstone River Watershed

Worcester, MA---Assumption College's University Transportation Center will be sponsoring a lecture on Monday, November 6, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. by Donna Williams, entitled"The Blackstone River Watershed Awareness Campaign." The lecture will take place in La Maison Francaise's Salon.

Ms. Williams is the Advocacy Coordinator for the Massachusetts Blackstone Watershed Resource Protection Committee.

The theme of the College's University Transportation Center (UTC) is "Transportation and Environmental Education for the 21st Century. " In addition to the UTC's partnership with local and regional K-12 schools and transportation and environmental organizations, it sponsors an ongoing lecture series that addresses issues concerning the interaction between transportation and the environment.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
