Assumption College to Sponsor Lecture on Surrealism and Art

Worcester, MA---Assumption College's Center for Continuing and Professional Education will sponsor an art lecture on Thursday, November 2, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. in La Maison Francaise's Auditorium. The lecture, entitled "Surrealism: Psychology in Art," will be given by John Murphey, Art Professor in the College's Continuing Education division.

Professor Murphey will incorporate a slide show into his lecture to demonstrate the role that psychology plays in surrealist art. He has taught in the Center since 1984, and received their Outstanding Teacher Award in 1990.
