Campus Activities Board Hosts "Turkey Day"
 Worcester, MA (November 20, 2006) - Assumption College hosted “Everything We’re Thankful For: A Campus Activities Board Thanksgiving Event for Charity” on Friday, November 17.
This four-hour event was an opportunity for Assumption students to reflect on what they are thankful for and to help others in need. Canned goods were collected for the poor and a $306 donation was made to NEADS (Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans) from the sale of t-shirts.
NEADS provided a few dogs that were available for petting and there were turkey shaped cookies to decorate. Students also had the opportunity to have their photo taken with “Buddy” the turkey. (pictured at left) |
