Les
Triplettes de Belleville (the Triplets of Belleville)
is a 2003 animated comedy. When Madame Souza's grandson is kidnapped during
the Tour de France, she and her beloved pooch Bruno team up with the Belleville
Sisters—an aged song-and-dance unit from the days of Fred Astaire—to
rescue him.
The theme of the series is “French Films for All Ages.” The protagonists
in the films chosen represent all age groups, from young schoolchildren, adolescents
and young adults, to mature adults and the elderly. All of the movies present
a fresh or amusing view of the lives of these characters.
Les Triplettes de Belleville (The Triplets of Belleville) is the final
film in the series.
