Department of Public Safety to Sponsor "Tickets for Tots"
Event
December, 2004—The Assumption College Department
of Public Safety will sponsor the sixth annual "Tickets for
Tots" program on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 from 9:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m. in the Laska Gymnasium lobby.
Public Safety officers will take an Assumption College parking ticket
in exchange for a toy to be donated to Toys-for-Tots (Marines) or
a cash donation to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette
Santa Fund. The entire college community is welcomed to participate.
Parking tickets are not needed to make a donation.
The unwrapped, non-violent toy must have a minimum value of $5.00.
Please provide batteries if needed.
Several festive, fun additions will be made to the event this year.
Santa Claus will be present, and participants may take a photo with
him for a $1.00 donation. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1.00
apiece or six for $5.00. Drawings will be held throughout the day
at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 2:00 pm for three great prizes, including
Red Sox paraphenalia and a free student parking permit for the 2005-2006
school year.
There is a limit of two tickets per person for the exchange. Only
tickets with the following violations will be accepted: (No
Permit/Unauthorized Permit, Fire Lane/Fire Hydrant, Special Zone/Time
Zone, Landscape Violation, No Parking Area, Using Two Parking Spaces)
