2004—Assumption College's Student Leadership Institute
(SLI) graduated 10 new student leaders in a ceremony on Sunday,
December 5, 2004.
The Student Leadership Institute is an eight-week non-credit course
offered by the Office of Student Activities in an effort to improve
student leadership skills in a co-curricular setting.
These
students were nominated by a faculty or staff member at Assumption
College as an emerging leader last spring. By opting to participate
in this experience, students developed their leadership skills,
such as: time management, assertiveness, organization, event planning,
public speaking, and teamwork.
At the graduation ceremony, the participants announced David Gendreau
as the winner of the Annual SLI Outstanding Student Leader award.
