to Perform with Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra

Shivick, director of Chapel Choirs/College Cantor at Assumption College, will be the featured soprano
for the Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra's performance of Handel - Judas Maccabaeus on Saturday, November 26 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Providence, RI.
Shivick will be singing with Georgette Ross Hutchins, mezzo-soprano; Fredric Scheff, tenor; and Rene De La Garza, baritone. Also joining the group will be the Henry Barnard School Chorus, directed by Jay MacCubbin.
Shivick is a distinguished performer and has been the featured
soloist for Boston Civic Symphony, Indian Hill Symphony, and Boston
College University Chorale, among many others. She has been featured
on National Public Radio, and has also made appearances on shows such as Classics
in the Morning ( 89.7 FM), and Live from Mechanics Hall. Shivick has
also been a National Winner in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions. During the summer of 2004, she performed at a WCRB Classical Concert in the Hatch Shell,
on the Esplanade in Boston.
The Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra is a musical organization made up of singers from Rhode Island and surrounding areas. Its mission is to provide artistic enrichment to the public and the singers through presentation of at least three concerts of major choral works per year. These concerts feature the singers of the chorale, along with professional orchestra and soloists.
