Assumption Provides Comfort Shawls for Those in Need
Worcester, MA - In an effort organized by the Reach Out Center, members of the Assumption College community spent the past semester knitting comfort shawls for the terminally ill. These shawls, which will be donated to those in need, help to comfort those in our community facing an excessively difficult time.
A total of 68 shawls were knitted by faculty, staff and students during the first semester. These shawls were displayed in the Hagan Campus Center on Tuesday, January 31 (left: Erin Boswell '09, a volunteer at the display, poses with one of the comfort shawls).
The Reach Out Center would like to extend its gratitude to all those who participated in this effort. All those who knitted a shawl and did not sign their name to the list of donors are asked to visit the Reach Out Center or e-mail Crissy Delaney at cdelaney@assumption.edu with your name and P.O. Box.
