Centennial Scrabble Tournament to Benefit Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester

April, 2004—Assumption College will be hosting a Scrabble tournament as part of its Centennial celebration on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Hagan Campus Center Hall.

Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving literacy, is sponsoring this fundraiser with the help of the National Scrabble Association and Assumption College.

All proceeds will benefit the Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester (LVGW). Registration has been extended until April 20, and registration forms can be found at the LVGW website, http://www.lvgw.org, or at the Worcester Public Library. The registration fee is $25 per person or a $100 team fee for up to eight players. T-shirts will be given to the first 100 players.
