Psi Chi Honor Society Inducts New Members
Worcester, MA (December 4, 2006) - The Assumption College chapter of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, inducted 34 new members at a candle light ceremony held on November 30 in the Slaon of La Maison Francaise.
Psi Chi is a national honor society that provides recognition for students with high levels of academic achievement and an interest in Psychology. Students’ grade-point averages must be above a 3.0, both overall and within Psychology courses. Additionally, students must have taken at least three courses in Psychology and have completed at least three semesters worth of college credit. Finally, students must have shown a direct interest in Psychology, as demonstrated through participation in the Psychology Club. Members of Psi Chi have access to a range of opportunities, from national conferences to research grants, to a subscription to the journal Eye on Psi Chi.
