
HUMANARTS Presents Opera Gala at Tuckerman
Hall
April, 2004—Assumption College's HUMANARTS Committee
presents an Opera Gala on Sunday, May 2, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Tuckerman Hall,
on the corner of Salisbury and Tuckerman Streets in Worcester, MA.
Admission is free, and seating is on a first-come, first-serve
basis.
The performance of favorite operatic selections will feature five
soloists: Jane Shivick and Diana McVey, sopranos; Valerie Nicolosi, mezzo-soprano;
Ray Bauwens, tenor; and Bryan McNeil, baritone. They will be accompanied by
pianist Olga Rogach.
The program will include arias and and ensembles such as the Trio from Der
Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss, the Quartet from Act III of La Boheme
and "Un bel di" from Madame Butterfly by Puccini, "Una
voce poco fa" from The Barber of Seville by Rossini, and many
others.
