Assumption Calendar of Events

Multicultural Affairs offers Panel Discussion

Worcester, MA (November 7, 2006) - Assumption College will host a panel discussion, “The ‘N’ Word: Can Anyone Use It?” on Thursday, November 9 at 6:00 p.m.in the Hagan Campus Center Hall.

The eight-member panel, comprised of both students and faculty members, will discuss the boundaries of the usage of the word and will explore the controversy surrounding it. Panel members are:
Dr. Susan Scully-Hill, moderator, Dr. Steven Farough, professor (Sociology), Jay Sparling, president of the Student Government Association, Charlaine St. Charles, president of the ALANA Network, Carlton Watson, executive director of the Henry Lee Willis Center, Gloria Hall, director of the Henry Lee Willis Cultural Institute, and Assumption students Steven Birch and Terry Stanford.
