Lecture
with Visiting Artist Stanley Lewis
April, 2005—Assumption's Department of Art
& Music presents a lecture with visiting artist Stanley Lewis
on Monday, April 25, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. in classroom 204 of the Laska
Gymnasium extension.
Stanley Lewis is regarded as a leader in modern art and art education.
He has been a guest lecturer/visiting artist at over 30 colleges
or institutes. Shows include: Bowery Gallery, Watkins Gallery, Wright
State, Virginia Tech, Logan Galleries, Kemper Gallery, Washburn
University, University of Missouri, NY Studio School, and KCAI Action
Art Center in Kansas City. Grants include Andrew Mellon Faculty
Enrichment Grant, UICA Faculty Grant, and a Danforth Fellow for
study in Art and Architecture. He was just announced as a Guggenheim
fellow for this year.
