Schedule for Lenten Season and Holy Week
February,
2005—As we enter the Lenten and Easter season, please
note the following additions to the Chapel of the Holy Spirit Mass
schedule:
—Beginning Thursday, February 10, Mass will be offered at
Noon each weekday in addition to the regular 5:00 p.m. community
Mass. This will continue through the Lenten season.
During Holy Week, the services schedule will be as follows:
March 24, 2005: Holy Thursday
7:30 p.m. Mass of the Lord's Supper
March 25, 2005: Good Friday
8:00 a.m. Morning Prayer & Office of Readings
3:00 p.m. Celebration of the Lord's Passion
March 26, 2005: Holy Saturday
8:00 a.m. Morning Prayer & Office of Readings
7:30 p.m. Easter Vigil
March 27,
2005: Easter Sunday
10:00 a.m. Mass
Additionally during Lent, we will continue with our tradition of
the following:
—Worcester County Food Bank: Large baskets are placed at the
entrance to the Chapel and we encourage you to bring non-perishable
foods when you come to Mass. Each week, your contributions will
be delivered to the food bank.
—Catholic Relief Services: Rice Bowls will be available in
the Chapel for parishioners to take home. Money saved in these containers
will be sent to Catholic Relief Services for their work among the
hungry of the world. Campus Ministry will be collecting the Rice
Bowls after Easter.
As we are nourished by the Eucharist and by the Word of God
here in our Chapel, our generous sharing will make a difference
in the lives of those who are in need of physical nourishment.
