Assumption College Presents Lecture
With Michael Green, "The Four Stages of Drinking"
February, 2004—Assumption College’s Student Government
Association, Campus Activities Board, and Student Development Center will be
sponsoring a lecture entitled “The Four Stages of Drinking,” with
Michael Green. This lecture will take place on February 9, 2004 at 7:00 p.m.
in the Hagan Campus Center Hall.
Green, the founder and president of Collegiate
Consultants on Drugs and Alcohol, is able to give a unique perspective by relating
his own experiences as a recovering alcoholic. He is able to personalize the
destructive consequences of substance abuse, and his background as an athlete,
coach and educator gives him credibility to convey the dangers of drug and alcohol
abuse.
Green devotes his lectures to sharing his message of how one night with alcohol
could cost a person everything. He has been stressing this message to campuses
around the country. Over the past 18 years, Green has given presentations at
more than 2,000 campuses nationwide in an effort to give a different perspective
of drug and alcohol awareness.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please call the Office of Public Affairs at (508) 767-7160.
