Faculty Publications Web Site Enhanced Images of book covers have been added to the site for Assumption professors who have published books that are presently housed within the library collection. The site currently displays one book cover per professor due to the interest of space. “Displaying the book covers makes the pages much more visually interesting,” said Director of Library Services Dawn Thistle. “Enabling visitors to obtain more information about our professors also adds to the interactivity of the pages.” In addition to the images of book covers, each professor’s name has been linked to their individual biography pages. When articles published by professors are available online through one of the library’s subscription databases, links to those articles have also been included. However, users must be on campus or authorized to access these licensed databases from off campus in order to view the full text of an article. A link to “Faculty Publications” has also been added to the Library homepage under “Library Services.” |
