Assumption to host Second Annual Duck Day
Worcester, MA - Assumption College will host its second annual Duck Day on Wednesday, April 12 at noon at the duck pond in front of La Maison Francaise.
At this time, the ducks that call Assumption's pond home from April to November, will return to their watering hole after their winter hiatus. The ducks, which are owned and cared for by Assumption College History professor, Dr. Kenneth Moynihan, will make their way down the red carpet and into the water. Students, staff, and faculty on hand to witness this return will be treated to Duck Day T-shirts (first 100 people in line), duck cupcakes, and the drawing of two tickets for a Boston Duck Tour.
To be eligible for the Duck Tour Raffle, the first 500 people who purchase a rubber ducky in the Student Activities Office from April 5 to April 11 for $1 will receive a raffle ticket for the drawing. All money collected from the duck sale will be donated to a local animal shelter, identified with the help of Dr. Moynihan.
On Tuesday, April 11, students will be able to "Decorate your own Duck" cookie in Charlie's (Hagan Campus Center) from 11:00 a.m. until supplies last. For more information, please contact Joe Golia at (508) 767-7403.
