| HUMANARTS:
Amy Dorfman and Enid Katahn, duo pianists
February,
2005—Assumption
College's HUMANARTS series presents pianists Amy Dorfman and Enid
Katahn on Sunday, February 13, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of
the Holy Spirit.
The Dorfman and Katahn duo is an extraordinary two-piano team, thrilling
audiences since 1990. Their colorful, varied programs are most engaging,
and their impeccable technique, coupled with sensitive artistry,
led one critic to comment, “There is heart and soul in every
note.”
Amy Dorfman is currently Associate Professor of Music at Vanderbilt
University’s Blair School of Music and Enid Katahn is Professor
Emerita at the same institution. Both pianists have individual careers
as solo artists and chamber musicians, but there is always a special
excitement when their two powerful musical personalitites come together
on stage.
This performance is free and open to the public. For more information,
please contact Frank Corbin, director of HUMANARTS, at (508) 767-7508.
