Lecture with Patti Dillon, “Triumph Over an Eating Disorder”
March, 2004—Assumption College will be holding a lecture,
“Triumph Over an Eating Disorder” with Patti Dillon. This event
will take place on March 29, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. in Hagan Campus Center Hall.
Patti Dillon is a world-class marathon runner and professional athlete. She
was ranked as the number-one female distance runner in the world in 1980 and
1981, and she took second place in the Boston Marathon three years in a row.
She was also the first American woman to run the Boston Marathon in under 2
1/2 hours. During her lecture, Patti will discuss the pressures of being an
athlete and her resulting struggle with bulimia, as well as her successful recovery.
