Assumption Hosts First-Ever Cookie Swap and Contest Co-sponsored by Student Activities and Human Resources, the event showcased the finest holiday treats cooked up by Assumption's faculty, staff and administrators. Those in attendance had a chance to sample and judge the wide array of culinary delights which included a chocolate fountain, ginger bread houses, ginger bread men, rum balls, chocolate chip cookies and various other selections. Competition among the contestants was fierce, especially with "chef" Mark Bilotta of the Betty Crocker Institute on hand to scout aspiring dessert masters. After a long and closely contested race, the following awards were announced as a result of the final ballot tally. Best Table Display: Maureen Clark, Institutional Advancement, Table #6 Best Holiday Cookie Theme: Janet Judice, Health Services, and Janet Truscott, Economics/Global Studies, Table #3 Best Traditional Cookie: Marta Carlson, Student Development, Table #8 Most Original Cookie: Lynn Cook, Graduate School, Table #2 Overall Cookie: Joe Golia, Student Activities, Table #11 Student Activities and Human Resources would like to thank all those who participated this year and reminds everyone that it is never too early to start preparing for the highly anticipated 2006 competition!
