Assumption to Host Bishop Bernard Flanagan Symposium
Worcester, MA - Assumption College will host the Bishop Bernard Flanagan Symposium on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. in the La Maison Francaise Auditorium. Receive One Another: Hospitality in Ecumenical Perspective, a new RISK book published by the World Council of Churches, will be the topic of discussion.
Featured speakers will include members of the Ecumenical Hospitality Working Group of the Massachusetts Council of Churches. Scheduled to speak are Rev. Fr. Thomas Fitzgerald (Greek Orthodox), Dr. Kyriaki Karidoyanes (Greek Orthodox), Rev. Dr. Diane Kessler (Massachusetts Council of Churches), Rev. Fr. Edward O'Flaherty (S.J.), and Rev. Fr. George Tavard (Augustinians of the Assumption). The symposium is co-sponsored by the Ecumenical Institute of Assumption College and the Massachusetts Council of Churches.
