Assumption College To Host Opening Event of 2004 African-American Festival

February 2004— Assumption College will be hosting the opening event of the 2004 African-American Festival, sponsored by the Henry Lee Willis Cultural Institute, on February 6, 2004. "Tastes from the African Diaspora" begins at 7:00 pm in the Hagan Campus Center, featuring foods from Ghana, Nigeria, and the Caribbean, as well as Southern regional cooking and desserts from local African-American women. The musical group "Decades by Dezyne" will perform during this event. Tickets are required for entrance to this event.

At 10:00 p.m., Late Night at Charlie's will present the sizzling reggae group, "Inner Visions," also in the Hagan Campus Center.
