Maura Vescera The desire for Maura Vescera to take on a challenge is one reason why she chose Assumption College to pursue her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. “I chose Assumption College for my Master’s degree because I believe they have the best and most challenging counseling psychology program in all of Massachusetts,” says the 2nd semester full-time grad student. Her career goals are to become a licensed clinician and begin her career in the mental health field. “Overall, I want to be able to apply what I have learned at Assumption to the everyday challenges I will face as a clinician.” Maura has not ruled out furthering her education even more. “I plan on furthering my education by applying to a doctorate program in clinical psychology.” Although this goal might not be in the immediate future, Maura’s determination to be a successful clinician is in large part due to the faculty at Assumption College. “The professors go out of their way to make themselves available to the students and are always looking for new ways to make the counseling psychology program the best that it can be.” To learn more about the graduate program in Counseling Psychology, please visit our website or call the Graduate School office (508) 767-7387
