Steven Kessler
Class Year: G '07
Hometown: Scarborough, ME
Major: Rehabilitation Counseling (Master of Arts)
Not only is Steven Kessler determined to helping others after he graduates with his Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, he also was the founder and organizer of another venture that takes determination—paintball.
“As an Undergraduate, I was able to start a paintball club at Assumption which is still active today.” Steven also feels fortunate about working in residential life while he was an Assumption undergrad. “Working in the residential life department for three years, I have been able to develop lasting friendships; participating in paintball with my friends is something we all enjoyed.”
“The friends and relationships that I developed, and the memories which have been created will surely last me a lifetime.”
Steven is looking forward to a career that helps others. “You cannot put a price or words on the feelings you get for helping another person improve their life.” His ideal work setting would be a local non-profit agency that will help him obtain his professional goals.
“I hope to be able to bring my ideas and knowledge into the Rehabilitation Counseling field to continue helping others.”
