Assumption to Hold 97th Commencement on May 17


Assumption College will award 463 Bachelor of Arts degrees; 217 graduate studies degrees (Master of Arts and Master of Business Administration) and certificates; and 35 Continuing and Career Education degrees (Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science, and associates) at its 97th Commencement ceremony.


Attorney and humanitarian Frances X. Hogan will deliver the keynote address and receive an honorary degree. Speeches will also be given by Assumption College President Francesco C. Cesareo, Ph.D., valedictorian Katie Leduc ’14 of Hudson, N.H., and salutatorian Andrea Clapp ’14 of Columbia, Conn., who will introduce Hogan.

In addition to Hogan, Assumption College will confer honorary degrees upon:

  • Janice “Jan” L. Fuller P’92;
  • Mark W. Fuller P’92;
  • Fr. Benoît Grière, A.A.;
  • Dr. Paul Carpentier, M.D., C.F.C.M.C. ’82
