NCCSA - Our Catholic School: My Voice Student Survey Questions

How would your students respond
to the statements above?

Discover your students’ perspective with the
Our Catholic School: My Voice
Student Survey.

This unique assessment tool measures how your students feel and think about their school and to what extent their Catholic education is strengthening their faith in God. The survey process will provide your school with an understanding of the conditions that affect student aspirations and the strength of those conditions within your school. (View Student Surveys for grades 3-5 and grades 6-12.)

Results from your NCCSA survey will help you to discover trends in student opinion, reveal opportunities for improvement, and establish a baseline to measure the effect of future efforts (see example data). Valuable insights gained from the survey will support decision-making that impacts Catholicity, student participation and leadership, parental participation and professional development. Surveys will also help your school to:

  • Identify invisible sources of student concern and satisfaction.
  • Make student-centered decisions, policies, programs, and opportunities.
  • Assess your effectiveness in supporting the personal learning needs of all your students.
  • Measure your impact with student faith formation.
  • Appeal to prospective families with your students' positive view of the school.

The Our Catholic School: My Voice Student Survey is a vital step for schools interested in student success and understanding how the 8 Conditions® can help support student aspirations. Surveys are also typically the first step in working with the NCCSA, as the results will help customize our programs and services to support your school’s unique needs.

How it works:
1. Order
Contact the NCCSA to order your student surveys. Surveys may be taken any time throughout the year and are available for grades 3-5 and grades 6-12.
2. Take
After placing your survey order, the NCCSA will send your school the surveys and protocols to administer them. Take the surveys at your convenience and mail them back to the return address provided.
3. Results
Within 2 weeks, you will receive a digital report summarizing the results of your student surveys. Schools may opt to review this report themselves, or request for a NCCSA representative to assist in interpreting the results. (View excerpt from recent Catholic High School report.)
4. Implementation
Schools may decide to take their own preliminary steps to create change, or work with the NCCSA to establish improvement goals and begin integrating the 8 Conditions® into the school through keynotes, conferences and development opportunities.

The Student Survey is an anonymous way for all Catholic school students to share how they think and feel about their school experience. Surveys are quick and easy to take, (15-20 minutes) and the results can impact the direction of student success in your school. Contact The National Catholic Center for Student Aspirations today to order your surveys.
