For students, school is a highly influential environment that impacts fundamental knowledge and beliefs. The NCCSA is committed to enhancing Catholic school communities to maximize student development and success.
Students are successful when they have a strong sense of self-worth, are actively engaged in their learning and feel a sense of purpose. These values are the guiding principles of the 8 Conditions® ; the stronger the presence of the 8 Conditions® in your school community, the greater your students’ aspirations will be. When students have high aspirations they are able to set goals for the future and, most importantly, take steps in the present to reach those goals. High aspirations help students take on new challenges, persevere through difficult tasks, strengthen their faith, and confidently take steps toward their future.
The 8 Conditions® benefit students when all members of the school community--school administrators and staff, educators and coaches, family members and the students themselves–utilize them. For this reason, the NCCSA has developed the following programs and services that can be tailored to address the needs of all educators in your school community.

Insight
Student Surveys
Gain valuable insights into your students’ perspective with Our Catholic School: My Voice Student Surveys, available for grades 3-5 and 6-12. Surveys are designed to help you understand your students’ experience and assess the impact your school is having in nurturing student success, faith and sense of purpose. Learn More »
Development
Keynotes
Learn about the 8 Conditions® or other aspects of Aspirations work through a keynote event. These lectures are available for all members of your school community or diocese. Inspire your student body, or introduce your educators and parents to the benefits of the 8 Conditions® with an informative keynote event.
In-school Development
Let us come to your school and present custom programs and workshops based on the 8 Conditions®. We provide professional development sessions customized to meet the needs of your school administrators, educators, coaches, and staff. In-school development opportunities also exist for student groups such a Student Council or athletic teams.
Conferences
Host or attend a conference and benefit from an in-depth combination of keynotes and workshop sessions. Conferences may be local or national and are a great opportunity to boost school spirit and network with members of other Catholic schools. Customize a conference for your school, partner with a neighboring school or diocese, or participate in a NCCSA hosted conference for students and/or educators.
Retreats
Inspire your students and faculty. Invite the NCCSA to explore the 8 Conditions®, Catholic formation, or a key area of student success at an upcoming retreat for your educators or students. The NCCSA hosts Aspirations Retreats for Catholic student groups at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts or closer to your school.
Integration
Aspirations Advocate
Give underperforming students a genuine boost with our Aspirations Advocate mentor program. We help schools bring community volunteers (such as parishioners, local college students, etc.) into classrooms to support students in need of extra attention. Unlike traditional mentor programs, the NCCSA places one adult volunteer, trained in the 8 Conditions®, with two students. This arrangement creates a comfortable social situation and encourages new friendships.
Aspirations Schools
Partner with the NCCSA to foster the 8 Conditions® throughout your school community. Learn how to utilize your school data from the Our Catholic School: My Voice student survey to resolve student concerns. Receive on-going support in building, implementing, adjusting, and evaluating school-wide policy changes and school improvement projects. Together, we will integrate the 8 Conditions® into all areas of your school.
