The Center for Catholic Education at Boston College is proud to host the Second Annual NCCSA Student Leadership Conference Stand Up, Speak Out. Five 6th and/or 7th grade students leaders accompanied by their chaperone(s) from each school are invited to participate in this exciting day.
Each school is invited to send five students from the 6th and/or 7th grades who demonstrate leadership potential. Students do not need to be currently serving in a school leadership role. Student groups will develop objectives to improve their own school and receive guidelines to help them reach their goals.
Also select one or two faculty/administrator(s) to chaperone the students at this event. Chaperones will benefit from involvement in student activities as well as a two-hour professional development seminar.
The conference cost is $25 per attendee (chaperones and students). This fee will cover a breakfast snack, workshop activities, mid-morning snack, lunch, event T-shirt and more. Scholarships are available.
Photography and videography will be captured at this event. All conference participants are requested to submit a signed media consent form with the school’s registration. Forms will be provided upon registration.
To register, interested schools must call or email Karen Kennedy at the Center for Catholic Education by November 10, 2008. [karen.kennedy@bc.edu | (617) 552-0602]
