Theology Faculty Position Beginning in Fall of 2009
The Theology Department at Assumption College invites applications for a full-time
tenure-track position in Biblical Studies, at the assistant professor, or perhaps associate
professor, level to begin in the fall of 2009. The College enrolls 2100 undergraduate
students and the Department enjoys a privileged status, along with the Philosophy
Department, in the core of Assumption's curriculum. Applicants must be willing to
contribute actively to the mission of the College as well as respect the Catholic and
Assumptionist identity of Assumption College. The successful candidate will have a
general background in Christian Theology and expertise in the Hebrew Scriptures / Old
Testament; must have fulfilled all doctorate requirements no later than August 2009;
show evidence of excellence in scholarship and teaching; and appreciate and support the
Catholic intellectual tradition. Responsibilities include teaching introductory level
courses and eventually developing new courses in the area of expertise. Send letter of
