No matter who you are, you have a
home here

Many colleges and universities want you to choose between a meaningful life and a rewarding career. At Assumption, we believe you deserve both.

For 120 years, Assumption students have been known for curiosity in the classroom and beyond. They’re known for their commitment to community. Most of all, they’re known for their gritty determination— for the way Catholic liberal education universally speaks to every person’s hunger to ask life’s enduring questions and their ambition for rewarding careers.

Our job is not to simply teach you, but to learn from you. You make us better when you ask the hard questions. You grow, and we all do, when we engage in study for its own sake.

Our Foundations Program Educates the Human Person

“My journey at Assumption University has been nothing short of transformative. From the moment I stepped on campus, I was embraced by a warm and welcoming community that made me feel at home.”

Rooted in the Assumptionist and Augustinian Catholic intellectual tradition of charity, the love for learning, the integration of faith and reason, and the pursuit of truth wherever it is to be found. Our Foundations Program introduces students to essential works, ideas, and enduring goals of the liberal arts and sciences.

Athletics Are a Thriving Part of Our Campus

“Being a college athlete has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my time at Assumption. Between the lifelong friendships I’ve made and the valuable lessons I’ve learned, my memories from my athletic career as a Greyhound are ones that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”

At Assumption, student athletics are a central part of campus life – over a third of Assumption students compete at the NCAA level on at least one of our 26 teams.

We are Hound Nation; and we’re proud of the impact our student-athletes make on the field, in the classroom, on our campus, and in communities both local and around the world.
