SPECIAL STUDENT STATUS

You may register for and take up to two MBA Assumption courses even if you are not officially admitted to the MBA program. To do so, you must apply for special student status by providing proof of your undergraduate or other master's or higher degree(s). You may fax (508-767-7252), mail, or drop off transcripts of all your course work to the attention of Dr. Jeffrey G. Hunter, Director, MBA Assumption, 500 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609. These may be unofficial transcripts, although "official" transcripts are required if you apply for admittance into the program. Your transcript must be received before you can register for courses. You only need to establish special student status once. If you have already applied to the MBA Program, you may be able to take more courses as long as you notify the MBA Office.

PROMISSORY NOTES

MBA Assumption has payment agreements with many area employers. A promissory note enables you to register for classes. When paying in whole or in part with a promissory note, you will be required to submit a letter or authorization form from your employer at the time of each registration. You will also be required to sign an Assumption College promissory note at the time of registration, which can be obtained from the MBA Office in Desautels 017. The promissory note guarantees payment in case your employer defaults or you do not fulfill your employer's conditions for reimbursement.  The Finance Office will send the bill to the student, and it is the student's responsibility to make sure the employer pays the the bill promptly.

Please note that registrations will not be processed until we receive the approval letter from your employer and a signed promissory note obtained from the MBA Office. You must pay any portion of tuition or fees not covered by the employer at the time of registration and before you begin classes. To inquire about promissory notes, call the MBA Office at
508-767-7170 or via email mbaoffice@assumption.edu.
