An RA is on duty three weekday evenings (5:30p to 10p) per week, two weekend days per month, and is on call during the night after each shift until 7am. Basic responsibilities during those hours include directly overseeing residents (their activities, evening and weekend chores); spending recreational time with them and being a constructive, charitable presence; ensuring adherence to rules and behavioral expectations; completing miscellaneous household tasks; attending weekly staff meetings and house meetings. RA’s are not required to be present and have no responsibilities during the day Monday through Friday. Reimbursement is free room and board (including utilities and food).
