REGISTRATION DATES:
Spring semester 2009: 10/20/08-12/5/08
SCHEDULES:
MBA Spring 2009 Schedule (tentative**). There will be no courses offered during winter intersession.
MBA SPRING 2009 COURSE BOOK LIST (Do not order any books until you have received registration confirmation).
NOTE: MBA 553B-Simulation is not being offered spring semester due to instructor unavailability, but will be offered during one of the summer sessions. If you plan to register for MBA 553A in the spring, you will not be charged when you register for MBA 553B.
BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR REGISTERATION, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
Please include payment method on the registration form. Payment may be made in cash, check, credit card, loan, or promissory note. If paying by credit card, please include the expiration date. If payment is made with a loan, write "LOAN" in the notes section.
If payment will be via promissory note, please fax the registration form and company letter at the same time. Please note that we will not hold slots in any classes without the company promissory note. After we receive your registration and company letter, we will mail out the Assumption College promissory note for you to sign and return to the MBA Office. The original company letter should be mailed to the MBA Office shortly after you fax your registration.
All registrations must be paid in full by one of the above methods before they can be processed. If any of this documentation is missing, it will delay the processing of your registration, resulting in the possibility that your selected courses will fill up. Registrations will be date-stamped in the order they are received at the MBA Office, and preference will be given to matriculated students. Registrations that have missing information or documentation will be date-stamped when the information and/or paperwork has been received.
Any class that is designated "blended" has a course limit of 15. It is recommended to register early for these courses because these courses get filled within the first several days of registration. All other courses have a limit of 25.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES :
Download MBA Registration Form and fax to the MBA Office at
508-767-7252. Do not fax registration form before October 20. Any registrations faxed before 10/20/08 will be date stamped 10/20/08, but priority will be given to registrations that are delivered in person and those that are faxed on 10/20/08. Registrations received after 12/5/08 will be charged a late fee of $10.
To register for MGT 199E, which is equivalent to MBA 551A-Economics foundation course, download and complete the CE registration form, and fax it to the MBA Office at
508-767-7252. Tuition for this CE 3-credit course is $795 plus $20 registration fee, totalling $815.
CE COURSES: To register for all other CE equivalent courses, call CE at
508-767-7364.

After registrations have been approved by the MBA Director, confirmations will be sent via the email that is listed on your registration form several weeks before classes begin.

The Continuing Ed. Department (CCE) offers courses that are equivalent to MBA foundation courses and are listed below. Please check the MBA schedule to see which courses will be offered in the spring semester.

GENERAL REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
- Download the registration form and fax the completed form to
508-767-7252. Please include payment information on the form. You can also register in person or mail the form to the MBA Office, Assumption College, 500 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609. There will be no registrations accepted over the telephone.
- If your registration is not approved or if any pertinent information is missing, we will contact you immediately. Please note that we cannot process your registration form without method of payment.
- When registering for classes, please make sure that you have the prerequisites to enroll in the class. If you are unsure, please contact the MBA Office at (508) 767-7170 or mbaoffice@assumption.edu.
- After your registration has been approved by Professor Hunter and processed for payment by the Finance Office, you will receive a registration confirmation by email, so please include your email on the registration. Please indicate if you are a special student or a matriculated student.
- Tuition. Tuition is $1404 for each 3-credit course, including directed studies, plus a registration fee of $20 per semester.
- Payment. Payment may be made by cash, personal check, credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover) or via Promissory Note. Please note that we do not accept American Express. Full payment is required before your registration will be processed. Please contact the Graduate Financial Aid Office (508-767-7154) if you would like information about payment plans, loans, etc.
SPECIAL STUDENT STATUS
You may register for and take up to two MBA Assumption courses even if you are not officially admitted to the MBA program. To do so, you must apply for special student status by providing proof of your undergraduate or other master's or higher degree(s). You may fax (508-767-7252), mail, or drop off transcripts of all your course work to the attention of Dr. Jeffrey G. Hunter, Director, MBA Assumption, 500 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609. These may be unofficial transcripts, although "official" transcripts are required if you apply for admittance into the program. Your transcript must be received before you can register for courses. You only need to establish special student status once. If you have already applied to the MBA Program, you may be able to take more courses as long as you notify the MBA Office.
PROMISSORY NOTES
MBA Assumption has payment agreements with many area employers. A promissory note enables you to register for classes. When paying in whole or in part with a promissory note, you will be required to submit a letter or authorization form from your employer at the time of each registration. You will also be required to sign an Assumption College promissory note at the time of registration, which can be obtained from the MBA Office in Desautels 017. The promissory note guarantees payment in case your employer defaults or you do not fulfill your employer's conditions for reimbursement. The Finance Office will send the bill to the student, and it is the student's responsibility to make sure the employer pays the the bill promptly.
Please note that registrations will not be processed until we receive the approval letter from your employer and a signed promissory note obtained from the MBA Office. You must pay any portion of tuition or fees not covered by the employer at the time of registration and before you begin classes. To inquire about promissory notes, call the MBA Office at

TUITION REFUND POLICY FOR WITHDRAWALS
If you must withdraw from a course, please contact the MBA Office at
(508) 767-7170 as soon as possible so that a withdrawal form can be processed. Tuition refunds will be based on the following schedule:

100% refund if withdrawal is prior to the first class session
* 90% refund if withdrawal is prior to the second class session
* 50% refund if withdrawal is prior to the third class session
* No refunds for withdrawal after the third class session
