Alpha Sigma Lambda, 2007 Inductees
The spring 2007 ASL Induction, held
on March 30, was the 23rd induction of the Delta Theta Chapter.
The thirteen students inducted into membership, along with their
families and friends and Assumption students, faculty and administrators,
had a wonderful evening.

Dr. Mary Lou Anderson, Dean of the College and former Dean of Graduate
Studies and Continuing Education, welcomed the inductees and their
guests on behalf of the College. The formal induction ceremony was
led by Colleen Ruel, President of Delta Theta, with John Hamm, Vice
President, and Arlene Tatro, Treasurer.
The inductees received their certificates and pins from Assistant
Dean Brian Bercier, and Theresa Coolberth, Academic Counselor. Dr.
Stephen Willand, who was invited to speak at the ceremony by the
current membership, gave the address, reminding everyone to use
their powers of positive thinking to enable them to continue to
achieve success.
At the conclusion of the induction ceremony, Assistant Dean Brian
Bercier presented the Outstanding Service Award
to John Hamm, Class of 2007.
The Outstanding Service Award was established in 1995, and is presented
annually to one or more members of the Continuing Education graduating
class who have provided outstanding service to the College through
leadership and student activities. Since it is the members of this
honor society who are most involved in leadership activities and
service, it has been our practice to present the award during the
annual induction ceremony.
John Hamm was inducted into Alpha Sigma Lambda
in 2006, and has contributed his time and talents during the past
year to welcome students at Open House events and make calls to
new students during their first semester. John also volunteered
his time to present a concert on campus in honor of the 250th anniversary
of Mozart's birth.
Congratulations to John, and to all of
the inductees!
