Certificate Programs in Professional Management
PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE
This program of study provides an introduction to management
concepts and managerial skills, as well as effective communication
skills, both necessary as a foundation for advanced professional
development and study.
This four-course, credit-bearing certificate program may
be completed in one to two years, as the required courses
do not have prerequisites and may be taken in any order. Students
will benefit from the dynamic environment that exists in the
Continuing Education classroom, where working adults from
varied backgrounds and professions exchange ideas, learning
from each other as well as from the teacher.
All courses taken for the Professional Management Certificate
program may be applied to a degree program. The program consists
of the four courses listed below, at least three of which
must be completed at Assumption College.

• ENG100E Speech
• ENG204E Effective Business Writing

ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE
Students who successfully complete the Certificate in Professional
Management will have a solid core of managerial and communications
skills that will improve their performance on the job and
provide the foundation for further study.
The Certificate in Advanced Professional Management will
extend these skills and provide the education needed for leadership
positions within an organization. All courses taken for the
Advanced Professional Management Certificate program may be
applied to a degree program. The advanced program consists
of the four courses listed below, at least three of which
must be completed at Assumption College:
