John Peter Kenney is Professor of Religious Studies at Saint Michaels College. Previously a Professor of Religion and Humanities at Reed College and Dean at Saint Michaels, he has a Ph.D. in religious studies from Brown University.

Dr. Kenney is the author of Mystical Monotheism: A Study in Ancient Platonic Theology, The Mysticism of Saint Augustine: Rereading the Confessions and Contemplation and Classical Christianity: A Study in Augustine.
