Assumption College’s Department of Art, Music, and Theatre will present Les Misérables, its 6th annual spring production at the Hanover Theatre. Set in 19th century France amidst a backdrop of revolution and unrest, Les Miserables follows the story of Jean Valjean, an ex-convict who leaves behind a life of hatred to become a testament to the redemptive power of love. Epic, grand and uplifting, Les Misérables packs an emotional punch that has thrilled audiences all over the world and overflows with classic songs.
Approximately 45 Assumption College students, alumni, and faculty are members of the cast and crew. Alumni Matthew Angelini and Michael Gondek will play the lead roles of Jean Valjean and Police Inspector Javert. Assumption College Visiting Instructor Brian Tivnan is directing and producing the performance.
