Ecumenical Prayer Service: "Has Christ Been Divided?"

24 January 2014 - 12:00am
7:00 PM

As part of the Jan. 18-25 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Assumption College will host an Ecumenical Prayer Service. The public is welcome to attend this service.

The theme – “Has Christ Been Divided?” – reflects on St. Paul’s Letter to the Corinthians 1:1-17 and will be presented by Bishop James Hazelwood of the New England Synod of the Evangelical Lutherans in America. He will preside with Bishop Robert McManus of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Worcester, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodius of the Greek Orthodox Church of Boston, and Bishop Douglas Fisher, who will be represented by Rev. Rich Simpson of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts.

The Assumption College Chapel Choir will perform at the event, which has been a tradition at Assumption for several years.
