The Assumption College Ecumenical Institute & Medieval and Early Modern Studies program present a lecture by  Willem Klooster, Ph.D., Professor and Chair of History at Clark University, titled “The Soldiers and Sailors of the Dutch Atlantic:  Iconoclasm and Deprivation in the Seventeenth Century." Professor Klooster will discuss pirates, privateering, and religious conflict in the Caribbean and beyond.
