Assistant Director of Recreational Sports / Intramurals and Weekend Programs
Patrick Guerette
Patrick is excited to start his professional career in recreation at Assumption College. He received his Masters of Education degree in the spring of 2007 from the University of Maine.  During his graduate work he served as a Graduate Assistant in the Campus Recreation Department overseeing Sport Clubs and Intramurals. Patrick also received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maine in Kinesiology and Physical Education.  He competed on the Cross-Country and Track team while pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree.

Assistant Director of Recreational Sports / Facility Coordinator
Scott Butch

Scott is joining the Assumption College community as the new Assistant Director of Recreational Sports/Facility Coordinator. In 2008 he received his M.S. from the University of New Hampshire in Recreation Management and Policy. While at UNH Scott worked as the Graduate Assistant for Intramurals and completed his Master's Thesis titled A Study of Organizational Culture in Campus Recreation: A Competing Values Approach. As an undergraduate Scott received his B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland. Scott is a member of NIRSA and NRPA, a Certified Instructor for the American Red Cross, a FIFA Level 8 Soccer Official and a NSPF Certified Pool Operator.

Administrative Assistant
Amanda Durkin

Amanda joined the Recreational Sports Department as the Administrative Assistant in October 2008.  As a former Office Manager and Comptroller, she brings extensive bookkeeping and customer service experience from her 12 year career at Kakas Furs of Newbury Street in Boston.  Amanda attended Northeastern University, majoring in Accounting.  During her years at home raising a family, Amanda has served as Treasurer of the Norrback Avenue School PTO, Managing Trustee for the Winter Heights Subdivision Maintenance Trust, and Instructional Director of the Joe Schwartz Little League in Worcester.  She has completed the Falmouth Road Race twice and has been an active member of the Greendale YMCA for the past 11 years.  Amanda resides in Worcester with her husband, Paul, and three sons, Brad, Kevin and Shawn.

Aquatics Coordinator
Cheryl Cote
A graduate of Assumption in 1994 with a degree in English & Psychology, Cheryl Cote has served as the Aquatics Coordinator for the past seven years. She has been involved with the Learn-To-Swim program for the past nine years, while also training the lifeguard staff at the Plourde Center. She is a Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor. Cheryl is also a full time teacher at North High School in Worcester and a supervisor at the State pool in Clinton, MA.
