A former standout performer at Providence College, Kerry Phayre is now in her ninth season as head coach of the Greyhounds. Phayre has led the team to three 20-win seasons and two N.C.A.A. tournaments over the last five years. She has coached ten conference all-star selections, four academic all district players, an academic all-America and five of the top 20 scorers in the Hound's history. As a player, she led her St. Xavier High School team to three straight state titles scoring over 1,000 points. As a standout guard for the Providence College Friars, she scored 1,269 points, twice served as team captain and was a finalist for the Margaret Wade Trophy given to the nation's outstanding player.
