Reference
Reference librarians and assistants are available to help the Assumption community in the effective use of library resources. Reference hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays and 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sundays. Individuals or small groups may schedule special sessions with Reference librarians to learn more about the Library's resources. Sessions may cover basic library resources or may focus on a particular subject.
Course related instruction sessions and tours may be scheduled by calling or emailing Callie Curran Morrell at 508-767-7375 or ccurran@assumption.edu or by submitting a Bibliographic Instruction Form.
The Reference Department has created numerous research guides to assist library users. Printed guides may be found outside the Reference Office. We've also placed them online. Some have been created to help users when the librarian is not available, such as Locating Sources for Course Papers.
E-mail Reference Service is available to students, faculty and staff with an e-mail account library@assumption.edu. Reference Staff will answer ready reference questions and can also give research advice via this service. If a question is too involved, individuals may be asked to come to the library for more in depth assistance.
