Repayment of Your Perkins Loans

A Perkins Loan helps pay the education costs of students with exceptional financial needs. Assumption College is the lender and is serviced by our billing agent University Accounting Service LLC.

Repayment of a Perkins Loan begins 9 months after a student graduates or drops below half time status. This is called a grace period.

Deferments and Cancellation benefits are available under certain conditions. Contact our agents web site www.uaservice.com or call toll free 1-800-999-6227 for forms and eligibility requirements.

Forbearance is an alternative for borrowers not eligible for a deferment. During forbearance, your loan payments are postponed or reduced for a limited time. Interest continues to accrue. For more information contact the Perkins Coordinator.
