Creating a link to current content from the course menu provides students with a rapid way to navigate your course site. This tip works best if you group all content for a unit in a single folder. So for example, if you place all content in the course documents area with folders containing all the content (PowerPoint slides, handouts, assignments, etc) for each unit, this is an easy tip to implement.

c. On the Add New Area page enter a name for the course link – Current content, current unit, current topic…
d. Click on the browse button to select the location of the content (figure 2). A popup window will appear listing all the linkable items in the course (figure 3).

e. Click submit to create link.
f. Move newly created area to top of course menu (figure 4).
