Important information that helps reduce
laundry issues:
- Check your laundry and pockets for foreign items. These types of
items can damage your laundry, the next person's laundry, and the machine.
The school is not responsible for damage to your clothes.
- Detergent - do not use more than the recommended amount. If you are
using a tablet, break it in half. Liquid detergent is no more than 2
tablespoons. If you use more detergent than recommended, your clothes
will not dry properly.
- Do not use a dryer if the lint tray is missing. Clothes can get caught
in there and be permanently damaged. It will also cause the dryer to
stop turning. Please report-missing lint trays to the vending email
or help line.
- Do not turn off the water valves. Once the washing machine cycle
calls for water, it will stop if no water is available. The doors to
the washers lock once the cycle starts. It will be very difficult to
get your clothes out once door is locked.
Any problems with the laundry machines call 5286 and leave a message
stating where and which machine, the problem, and your name and phone
number. You also may e-mail vending@assumption.edu with service issues
and comments.
