Conference Services

Assumption College welcomes your organization by providing all the important elements to ensure a productive conference experience. Our facilities offer a beautiful, centralized location, quality meeting space, professional conference services, on-site catering, as well as on-campus parking.

ARE YOU PLANNING A FUNCTION?

Meetings and functions require planning and Conference Services can help make sure that your event is a success. To ensure that all of your requirements are met, we need confirmation of your event at least 10 days prior to the scheduled date. Changes made later than 10 days can not be guaranteed and may include an additional charge.

SPONSORING AN OFF-CAMPUS GROUP

Groups require an on campus sponsor (current employee) who will be the liaison between the group and the Conference Planner. All functions must be consistent with the mission of the College. The sponsor will be responsible for the actions of the group and will be the contact person for the College and the group should any issues arise. Campus sponsors should plan on being here when your group arrives and staying at least until the event has begun. (The College reserves the right to change an event location to accommodate all groups in appropriate spaces).A Certificate of Insurance may be required of off-campus groups depending upon the type of accommodations required. Established rates will be charged to off-campus groups. The rate will cover overhead and use of ordinary campus equipment and furnishings. Any additional expenses incurred by the College will be passed on to the group. A listing of rates can be obtained by calling Conference Services (508) 767-7122.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations should be e-mailed to Conference Services as soon as the party is aware of the need to cancel. This will release the room for someone else who may need it. The party will be charged for any costs that have been incurred. If food was required for your event, it is your responsibility to contact Food Services about the cancellation.

FUNCTION ROOMS AND CAPACITY

All events MUST be reserved using the on-campus Reservation Form. It cannot be accessed from off-campus. All spaces on campus must be reserved through Conference Services. The following is an example of some of the usual usage of function rooms.

Hagan Campus Center Hall, Hagan Campus Center - 215 Chairs

theater style (215), U-shape (82), open square (84), classroom style (80), chairs in circle (75), two 4'-rectangles with 8 chairs each (160), The Hagan Center Hall can hold up to 450 chairs (theater style only with renting).

Marriott Room, Taylor Dining Hall-54 Chairs
