about START Retreats

Find Your Direction!
Question:
Do I have to be Catholic to attend a START Retreat?
Answer: Absolutely not! START Retreats are open
to all students, regardless of faith tradition or denomination.
Question:
What do we do on a START Retreat?
Answer: The START Retreat program was designed
BY students, FOR students and combines a number of different activities,
including talks, small group discussions, large group gatherings,
entertainment, and prayer. Students who go on START Retreats want
to deepen their faith lives and meet new people and that's what
happens with much success! The food's good too.
Question:
I've been on a retreat in high school. Why go on a START Retreat
at Assumption?
Answer: For one, to meet new people. Secondly, you aren't
the same person now that you were in high school. START Retreats
give you a chance to reflect on your life and your faith as they
are now.
Question:
I keep hearing about START 2 - what is it?
Answer: Once you've gone on a START 1 Retreat, you can deepen
your faith even more on a START 2 Retreat. It's a two-nighter, off-campus
in a nice retreat house. We had a wonderful START 2 Retreat November
16-18, 2007 in Still River, MA. This year's retreat is November 14-16, 2008.
Question:
I want to talk to some students who have been on a START Retreat

you more about START Retreats:
